I have to say it was rather tricky to take crisp pics due to georgeous shimmery look of the paints I used but I managed.

texture - Radiant Gel

As you can see my background was finished some time ago. In fact, I had no idea what to do next so I decided to leave it and come back to it one day. Such day came yesterday. Now just a few words how I created the background.

I covered the canvas in white gesso, let it dry. Then I made some texture using Radiant Gels and my fave stencil. When dry, I painted the textured areas with black gesso and wiped away the extra gesso with a wet baby wipe. I did it quickly not to allow the gesso to dry. In such way you gat fabulous shading. You can repeat this step as many times as you wish. I also did some painting here and there with Vivid Ultra Metallics and some random stamping with archival ink.

shading - black gesso, H2Os

I did the same procedure with stenciled flowers, let it dry and did some light colouring with Twinkling H2Os.

adding colours - Silks, Gelatos

I decided to emphasize the shading and used black non water resistant pen with a brush and outlined the flowers. Then I coloured them using Silks and let it dry. I did some more shading using Gelatos.

wire flowers

To make it look more interesting I added two wire flowers and glued them down on the canvas. And that´s it.
